About Mia Peculiar
Mia Peculiar challenges traditional self-expression through innovative garments that blend contrasting elements and blur the boundaries between the inner and outer worlds. Each design engages in a dialogue with the wearer’s emotional states, exploring the multifaceted nature of the ever-evolving self. The collections reflect a harmonious interplay between softness and boldness, delicacy and playfulness.
Drawing inspiration from the ambivalence of moods, Mia Peculiar conveys femininity through body-enhancing cuts, captivating colors, and unique prints and embellishments. Exquisite fabrics are paired with high-quality tailoring to ensure a premium experience.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Costina Costa-Foru is a fashion designer and pattern-maker based in Milan, Italy. Originally from Bucharest, Romania, she pursued her passion for fashion at Istituto Marangoni Milan, where she studied Fashion Design.
With experience working in the creative offices of renowned Italian brands, Costina has developed strong expertise in both design and pattern-making. In 2015, she won the design competition by Asahi Kasei Fibers Corporation, showcasing her innovative approach to textiles.
Alongside her work as a designer, for nearly a decade she has been an educator at Istituto Marangoni, teaching pattern-making at its Milan, Florence, Paris and Mumbai campuses. She has also contributed to the development of 3D prototyping courses, mentoring the next generation of fashion designers.
In 2024, she launched the brand Mia Peculiar, as an invitation to self-expression and self discovery, that lays its foundation on exquisite quality and sustainability through the use of technology.
Her work reflects a refined blend of craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless elegance.
